I havent posted in a very long time, but I just watched the movie To Save A Life, and it really spoke to me....
I encourage you to watch the movie, it really inspired me to show unconditional love to anybody and everybody, especially in the world today where we all feel like we're being judged? Look around you and observe. There might be someone in the shadows just wanting to have someone to listen to him or her. And your extension of God's love could help to save a life.
Often times we treat people just like how we treat a $20 note versus a penny. We judge them based on our worth and value to us. But today I learnt that by committing and trusting God in everything, even through the difficult times, giving up things like popularity to join Him in his mission to bless others and bring others to Him...its all worth it :) Below is the link to the trailer of the movie. I pray it'll touch, challenge and inspire you to join Jesus in his daring plot to save the world just like how its impacted me in so many ways.
This june holidays, take the time to pray and look at your life again, bit by bit. How can you help somebody and need and share with them God's love today? To save a life-for God-what would you do? Or what will you be willing to do? Some people are just dying to be heard.
God Bless, Alison

Romans 12:3-11
“For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.
For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.
Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching; he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness. "
To every of His children God has given different talents, and though at times we might be envious that we don't have a particular talent of somebody's in us, God wants us to know that no matter how little or how small you think your talent may be, it's His talent for you, and He wants you to use whatever little that you're good at to bring glory to His name, instead of being someone you're not.
Use the gifts that God has given you to bring the love of God to others! For whatever circumstances or talents or things that God has put in your life, their all part of His great plan for you. And nothing is ever put by chance. So even when you have to make tough decisions and feel like you're at a loss as to what to do, be still and hear His voice, and trust that His plan is good for you.
Love,
Alison.

It's great to be back and posting in an attempt to revive by very unfortunately dead blog!
This moth has been a rather eventful month for me, many happenings, many encounters with God, and I'm glad to be able to share them with you once again.
So the term has come to a close, except for the poor Sec 3s (including myself) have to stay back for intensive! But let's look on the bright side, yes? At least there's a lower chance of our brains going all 'rusty' and corroded after 2 months of holidaying / mugging.
Yes, open house has finally come to an end to, so had PB Camp and all the events I've been worried for. What's left is PSPC '10 and CCA Fair '2011. (: With God's grace, just like how He has seen me through the planning and stress of the past few evens I believe He'll see me through the rest as well.
After this rough 2 weeks that I've been through, and with whatever that has been happening, somethings that God has put in my heart and what I'd like t say today to you (if you happen to be reading this!) is that:
Work to please thhe person who matters the most to you, who is of course God. Sometimes we may go around trying to work hard and please others, to make everyone happy and find that no matter how hard we ever try. we never get close enough to meet their expectations. In times like these, it's important to know that God loves you very much, and that you are very precious to Him, you are dear to Him too! And that what you should be working for to please is Him and Him alone.
Next, God never gets tired of you talking to Him and asking Him for the same thing over and over again. You may get tired, but God never gets tired. In fact, he loves it so much when you come to Him weary and helpless because in our weaknesses He is made strong, and He'd love to hear you all the time, even if it's you telling the same old thing after 5 months (: Sometimes, it's good to learn to hear God too, instead of just talking to Him all the time. Sometimes, His responses to our requests may come as naturally as it may go. Thus, it's important that at times, we BE still and know that He is God, and hear what He has to tell us, whether it's a YES, NO, or WAIT to our requests.
Let all that you are wait quietly before the Lord, work to please Him because you are significant in His eyes, and knowing that is all the matters.
Love,
Alison.

*.* Perfect Peace - Laura Story (lyrics) *.*
Me blogged @ | 3:45 AM
Haven't posted in such a long time!
These few weeks have been rather eventful, and amongst the joy and the laughter, the tears and the sadness, I've learnt one very very important thing, that It's hard to live a life seperate from God.
This weeks have been especially hard to get through for me, and I kept asking myself how come my life started to fill with dread and self-despair and whatnot.
But today, God helped me to realise what I was missing, and that is that He was waiting for me to hear and notice He was by my side all this while. And the things I've been doing that's of this world, aren't what he has called me to do, but instead, He has been waiting for me to know that I am, that YOU ARE His child for a special purpose-that is to SHINE for Him and fufill the plan He has already instored for me!-The Blueprint He has finalized for my life.
For some of you maybe, (as well as for myself):
1. Have we all been living our lives chasing after unimportant things?
2. Have we been wasting our time, effort, or tears, even, being someone you're not to be accepted?
I want you all to know that there is a God that's out there watching over us every second every minute of the day...waiting for a moment for you to realise that He's been there all along wanting to build that special one-to-one relationship that is worth more than anything worldy thing you have been chasing after!
He wants you to know that all that matters, is that you are significant as a son or daughter in His eyes, each and everyone of us...and that's what truly matters---not acceptance, nor fame, nor popularity, but the thought that we have an awesome God beside us to walk this tough journey with us, behind us to support us, with us wherever we go 1 Peter 3:3-4 ESV
Do not let your adorning be external—the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear— but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious
Indeed, we are all precious gems in God's eyes. All of us are INDISPENSIBLE to His kingdom and can never be replaced.
Love,
Alison.

2 Corinthians 4:7-9
"We are like clay jars in which this treasure is stored. The real power comes from God and not from us."
We often suffer, but we are never crushed. Even when we have no clue how to move on, don't give up and keep the faith that God is always watching over you, and know that He's always there. He has a great plan for your life! Everything happens for a reason (: In times of trouble, know that God is with us and we are knocked down by the storms of life, we take God's outstretched hand..and we get up again. (:
Thank you Keely for the wonderful verse!
Let's press on and commit oir burdens to God (: 2 more school days to go (technically!!) till the end of the week (:
Love, Alison

I haven't posted in a pretty long time because I have been drowning in tests. ): Literally, drowning.
And well, I still have a test tomorrow ):
And on Thursday.
And in the next two weeks. I just had my Chemistry Quiz today too.
Which wasn't all that awesome):
But whatever it is, what must remain through good tests and bad ones is the trust and faith we have in God, because if we place our trust in Him, he'll grant us a certain peace in our hearts that envelopes us with warmth, and that transcends all understanding. Its amazing how the thought of Him just being there and watching over us day be day can be so heart warming.
Today, I'll be here sharing something that I experienced during the first session of Praying in place of CG Time in FL(:
But Jesus said, "Let the children come to me. Don't stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children." (Matthew 19:14 NLT)
Each of us aren't born perfect. And yet no matter how broken we all might be, we are all special to Him and belong to his one big family.
God understands the struggles we face in our lives and the difficulties we go through resisting temptation. But no matter how sinful we may be, He accepts our dirtiness without condemnation and cleanses every bit of sin in us till we become white as snow again, as long as we plead for his mercy and show repentance(: For He is slow to anger and abounding in love, a repentant and believing heart is all He asks for(:
Here's ending with a passage taken from Romans 7:18-8:17
18I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out.
19For what I do is not the good I want to do; no, the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing.
20Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.
21So I find this law at work: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me.
22For in my inner being I delight in God's law;
23but I see another law at work in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within my members.
24What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death?
25Thanks be to God—through Jesus Christ our Lord!
So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God's law, but in the sinful nature a slave to the law of sin.
Romans 8
1Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,
2because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death.
3For what the law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by the sinful nature,God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful man to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in sinful man,
4in order that the righteous requirements of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the sinful nature but according to the Spirit.
5Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires.
6The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace;
7the sinful mind is hostile to God. It does not submit to God's law, nor can it do so.
8Those controlled by the sinful nature cannot please God.
9You, however, are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ.
10But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness.
11And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you.
12Therefore, brothers, we have an obligation—but it is not to the sinful nature, to live according to it.
13For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live,
14because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.
15For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship, And by him we cry, "Abba,Father."
16The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children.
17Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.
This may be a whole mouthful or eyeful for you to take in at one time(: But take time to read it! (sorry if it's messy and stuff) Just focusing on Romans 8:1-2, its indeed so very comforting to know that in Christ there is no condemnation, and that in Christ, everyone is family and everyone loves each other for we have been cut off from the bondages of sin by Jesus(:
Let's continue to give Him praise through the week even when we find it hard to!
Love,
Alison

Even as some of us may feel the stress of exams and tests pounding down on us, let's not forget that our source of hope and strength, especially in life's stormiest times can only be found in Christ alone.
Often times, we worry so much that we forget about what's more important-which is to praise God in every circumstance. Even after being a Christian so long, that's still something I'm trying to learn. To thank God for everything, good and bad.
This picture reminds me about the peace that God grants my heart everytime I tell Him how afraid I am about things and whenever I feel pressurized. Wouldn't it be nice to physically be in that place in the picture, and soak up the peaceful atmosphere?? Yes, it would be nice! But we can soak up the peace of God even here in Singapore amongst the hot and humid weather. We can find that same peace and tranquility in God(:
Even as you go through the week, be bold and be strong for the Lord thy God is with you! Remeber that with Him, there won't be any fear, so go through all obstacles you may face with the faith that God is there, seeing you through, through it all!
Sharing a beautiful poem with you by Helen S. Rice,
May peace and understanding
Give you strength, and courage, too
And may the hours and days ahead
Hold a new hope for you;
For the sorrow that is yours today
Will pass away and then
You'll find the sun of happiness
Will shine for you again
There is hope in our Father, Jesus Christ(: So let's celebrate this newfound hope in Jesus as we go through the week by thanking for everything, good or bad, big or small.
Love,
Alison

Sometimes all we need to do is be STILL and know that HE is God.(: (Psalm 46)
Today God impressed on my heart Jeremiah 29:11, one of my favourite verses in the bible; and yet have never seemed as close and personal as it was today!
"For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you a hope and bright future."
Jeremiah 29:11
Whatever opportunity or obstacle in our life, let's continue to remember that everything is part of God's plan for our lives, and to be encouraged by the fact that He is going to use us as his instruments and disciples, and that each and everyone is going to shine one day and is a precious daughter in his sight!
Sharing with you a beautiful poem of Helen Steiner Rice's:
With faith, let go and let God lead the way
Into a brighter and less troubled day
For God has a plan for everyone,
If we learn to pray 'Thy will be done'
For nothing in life is without God's design
For each life is fashioned by the hand that's divine
At all times, give thanks and cast your burdens to the Lord, and you can be assured that He will see you through even the stormiest times of your life!
Love, Alison

*.* Voice of a Savior - Mandisa *.*
Just came back from the How to Outreach (H2O) Conference from church! Learn alot on how to evangelise to our family and friends! But something that made one of the most impacts on me was the song that was played at the end of the session-Voice of A Saviour by Mandisa(: Searched it on you-tube and managed to find a video on the song (below!), here are the lyrics!
Voice of A Saviour-Mandisa
Some people try to listen,
to the bottom of a bottle
Some people try to listen,
to a needle in their arm
Some people try to listen,
to the money in their pocket
Some people try to listen,
to another’s arms
{Chorus}
You and I are not that different
We got a void and we’re just trying to fill it up
With something that will give just a little peace
All we want is a hand to reach to
Open arms that say I love you
We’d give anything to hear
The voice of a Savior
Some people try to find it with blind ambition
Some people try to find it where no one else has gone
Some people try to find it in the crowns of victory
Some people get defeated and lose the strength to carry on
{Chorus}
Some people try to find it in the shadow of a steeple
Some people try to find it in the back row pew
Some people try to find it in the arms of Jesus
That’s where I found it, how about you?
{Chorus}
It's a beautiful song that talks about the different perspectives in the world of peopl today, where they find they're comforts in, but how the greatest comfort, and need for love and care can be met in Jesus Christ(:
Successful witnessing means simply taking the initiative to share Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit and leaving the results to God...
(from Just Walk Across the Room by Bill Hybels)
Being a witness to others is just as simple as walking across the room, approaching someone, and sharing Christ with them(: Are we willing to be that witness, and just walk across the room?
the average person walks 10,000 steps a day. Will he use his steps wisely?? ~just walk across the room by Bill Hybels
God Bless,
Alison (:

*.* john 3:16 *.*
John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes shall not perish but have everlasting life."
Yes! It's great to be bestowed with the title as a cherished child of God, and it's amazing how God can always find it in His heart to love even the most difficult people on Earth (: I am so thankful to be part of His family, and it's really comforting to know that He'll always be on our side to sustain us! His love for us and beautiful beyond description, too marvellous for words; that He died on the cross to bridge the gap between Him and us (: Constantly, my heart is warmed each time I'm reminded of his love and mercy toward us!
Now that I'm back from Cambodia, I want to thank God for opening up my heart to be more sensitive and aware of my surroundings, and for teaching me so much even after just 9 days overseas! These 9 days was indeed a spiritual adventure for me, something I believe God has been preparing to experience for the past few years(:
After only just 6-7 days of interaction with the kids, I'm so touched and filled with admiration at the joy and cheer that bubbles out from their life everyday, and I can't help but wonder, why is it that day after day, we are so plagued with worry about life's smallest things! So, one thing I'd like to take back and learn from this trip is to be more optimistic, and to look to God instead of relying on my ownself for strength to face each day. And stop being such a worrywart and getting stressed up over little details.'
This trip has also taught me to be more so much more appreciative of many things, and I'm glad that through these 9 days, I've been able to grow closer to God spiritually, get to know my friends better, make more new friends from the centre, and widened my perspectives after our sightseeing in the tourist attractions there! (:
I never thought I'll actually be feeling like this! But I really miss Cambodia so very badly! The whole team is probably undergoing post-FIS syndrome now ): Hopefully, we'll get to go back some time soon, but that we'll leave it into God's hands, and in His time, I know He'll send us some place to serve and bring glory to His name, yes? (:
